Q: Where do I begin when it comes to styling my bed?
A: Your bed is the centerpiece of your bedroom so it really should be the launching point of your decor. That's why we always recommend choosing the linens first. (It’s much easier to find a paint colour that matches the linens, rather than the other way around!) And always select a palette you can live with long-term.
Q: Which colour and style are trendy right now?
A: Our philosophy when it comes to your linens is not to get too caught up in trends. Neutrals are always a good option for bedding because they're classic and timeless, and can work in with just about everything - including upholstered headboards, drapes and rugs. If you want to be more daring, start with a neutral foundation - white, ivory, soft grey - and add pizzazz with decorative cushions or throws in more vibrant colours. These bolder statement pieces can easily be replaced at far less expense than starting from scratch when you tire of a certain colour. And you’ll still have a beautiful bed that coordinates with virtually any colour you decide to bring into your bedroom.
As for the style of your bed, go with what you love! Again, don't worry about what's trendy. Just fall in love and stay true to your personal aesthetic.
