Recently, Style at Home Design Editor, Jessica Waks visited the store to design her master bed. We sat down with her for a little pillow talk.
Why did you choose Scallop Navy for the design of your sheets?
I love the classic decorator feel of the scallop design. It feels traditional and pretty, but doing it in the navy thread keeps it from feeling too feminine. It's a great finishing detail that gives a bespoke feeling to the bed.
What do you love about the Retro and Adelchi Sky bedding?
I'm a total Greek key girl but I love the retro motif too because it's a little more funky and mod, but still feels fresh in the pale blue hue. It's perfect for a transitional bedroom that still wants a contemporary edge with beautiful details.
What's your current Au Lit crush?
I'd have to go with the Washed Cotton Linen Spray. Fresh linen is such an inviting smell. This spray gives bedding that extra scent boost and is total accessible luxury.
What's your morning routine?
I am not a morning person so I keep it as simple as possible. I try to set out things the night before so I can get out if the house as quickly as possible.
What's your nightly routine?
I like to read in bed before falling asleep. Along with a cup of herbal tea on my nightstand, usually one of my cats will be tucked into a cozy throw blanket on the bed too. I love layering cozy textures!
What do you sleep in?
Usually a tank and cotton PJ bottoms or boxers. I like to be comfortable but I also look for great prints and patterns. I'm a sucker for a fab pair of printed PJ pants.
Best sleep you've ever had?
Probably my wedding night in the royal suite at the Royal York hotel. The bed is literally fit for royalty and felt like a fluffy cloud and after an amazing yet exhausting night it was the perfect bed to crash in.
