When you work for a bedding store and spend your work day analyzing linens, you can't help but do the same during your time off. Every time we sit down to watch a movie, we can't help but study the beds. What sheets is the character using? How many pillows do they have? Every colour, pattern, and fabric (or lack thereof) gives us insight into the character's personality and motivations.
