Updating your Bed this Fall

Nights are starting to get cooler and it's almost time to start transitioning your bed for Fall. Here are some simple tips to help you ease into the cooler months:
1. Add new shams, throws or toss cushions in rich, darker shades in heavier fabrics, this will instantly winterize your bed. Fall and Winter are all about layering by adding texture and deeper colours to your home. Warm browns and greys are excellent neutrals for this, as they will easily fit into any decor.

2. Have alternating slipcovers for your upholstered headboard. It's an affordable and easy way to change up the look and feel of your entire bed each season.
3. We have two ways of making a bed, which we refer to as our 'summer' or 'winter' looks.
Summer: Pull up your blanket or coverlet, which is lighter to sleep with, and fold the duvet at the foot of the bed. This allows you to easily pull it off at night, or even put away for the summer.
Winter: Pull up the fluffy, warm duvet to cover your entire bed and add a coverlet along the bottom of the bed. This will keep you warm and cozy and the blanket can be pulled up for extra warmth on chilly nights.
